Research Support Specialist at Stony Brook University
Candidates are being considered for two full-time Research Support Specialist positions in Dr. Matthew Lerner’s Social Competence and Treatment Lab in the Department of Psychology at Stony Brook University. The first position is to support a grant-funded study examining a school- and lab-based intervention for social-emotional wellbeing among children with and without autism. The second position is to support a grant-funded research study examining electrophysiological patterns in youth with autism, as well as coordinating outreach activities designed to engage and recruit individuals with autism spectrum disorder across the lifespan. Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University
A postdoctoral position is available at Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Boston University to be supported by the Hartwell Foundation Biomedical Research Fellowship.  The postdoctoral fellow will work on research examining language development in infants and children with autism and early markers of likelihood for language learning difficulties and/or developmental disabilities. Clinical Psychologist/Psychology Postdoc at the ESDI Lab at the University of South Carolina
The Early Social Development and Intervention (ESDI) Lab at the University of South Carolina is seeking a clinical psychologist or psychology postdoc to join our vibrant team of clinicians, students, and scientists engaged in NIH-funded research on infant development and early detection of autism spectrum disorder. Our longitudinal research focuses on quantifying the emergence of, and interrelations between, social behavior, visual attention, and motor skills in neonates, infants, and toddlers at elevated likelihood of ASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders. As a member of the ESDI Lab, the candidate will work closely with the Principal Investigator and research staff and have the opportunity to participate in additional research activities if desired. Clinical Psychologist at NYU Langone Health
The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Child Study Center at NYU Langone Health is searching for a Clinical Psychologist to join the Autism Spectrum Disorder Service. Proficiency in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy, parent management training, social skills training, and diagnostic evaluation of ASD and related disorders is required. Advanced training and/or certification in an evidence-based treatment for ASD or co-occurring disorders (e.g. Early Start Denver Model, Facing Your Fears, PEERS®, JASPER, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, feeding evaluation and treatment, etc.) is preferred. Proficiency on the ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R is a plus. Candidate must be willing to lead social skills group treatments and conduct workshops for parents, school personnel, and others in the community. Postdoctoral or Early Career Researcher/Psychologist, Rutgers University
Seeking a postdoc or early career clinical researcher/psychologist to join the LifeSPAN Lab at Rutgers University. Led by Dr. Vanessa Bal, the LifeSPAN lab focuses on advancing understanding of autism in adulthood. The candidate will gain experience in clinical research across two studies. The first study is adapting a transdiagnostic group behavioral activation program for autistic adults. This intervention is designed to address depression, anxiety, and anger regulation issues, and the project aims to specifically create and test technology-based resources to supplement the treatment. The second study is focused on validating a new version of the autism diagnostic interview. This project involves learning comprehensive autism diagnostic assessments for children and adults across the ability range. The candidate has opportunities to be actively engaged in writing manuscripts and grants, as well as clinical service through the RCAAS PSC (social skills groups, individual therapy, diagnostic assessment) and supervision of graduate students. Specific balance of clinical and research responsibilities will depend on a candidate’s previous experience and their training and career goals. Ideal start date is September 1, 2022, but the position will be open until filled and candidates graduating in fall 2022 with 2023 start dates are encouraged to reach out.
