Community Relations Manager

The Autism Science Foundation is seeking a social media expert who can design and produce original daily content on multiple social media platforms, including the ASF website. The person will also produce a bi-monthly e-newsletter and a weekly podcast. He/she will provide online and in person support for community events and fundraisers. This is a full time position, with benefits, located in our New York City office. 
The right person will have experience with; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIN, Constant Contact, Photoshop, WordPress, and HTML.
This individual should have a strong knowledge of issues important to the autism community.  He/she should have superior writing, research, and editorial acumen with an ability to craft messages for various social and traditional communications outlets. This person also needs to be highly organized and able to juggle multiple administrative tasks.  We are a small, growing organization. The new employee should expect to participate in all our activities – leading some and assisting with others. 


ASF is looking for smart, energetic interns to work in its New York City office for the summer of 2015. Interns perform a variety of functions based on their interests and expertise and based on the needs of the organization. We anticipate having two internship positions this summer so please specify which position you are applying for in your application.

Science/Community Relations Associate

We are looking for a knowledgeable, sociable, organized, person with a science background and an interest in autism. Duties include writing content for our website and social media sites; reading and summarizing research papers; explaining research findings in family-friendly terms; and assisting with scientific initiatives and projects as needed;. The intern will also be expected to create and assist with promotional ideas and events, and respond to email and phone inquiries from individuals with autism, parents, siblings and other stakeholders.  Interns also assist with general office functions as needed.

Web Designer/Developer
We are looking for a creative intern with web design experience to help with our planned website overhaul. Work will include designing new pages with specific functions, reshaping existing site elements, and transferring current content to the new site. Ideal candidates will have experience with Wordpress, graphics software (e.g., Photoshop) and Javascript. All interns also assist with general office functions as needed


The Autism Science Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that believes outstanding research and evidence-based interventions are the greatest gifts we can offer individuals and families affected by autism. We raise money and provide funds to scientists conducting, facilitating and disseminating autism research.
