Pivotal Response Treatment Study

The Pivotal Response Treatment Study Team at the Yale Child Study Center is researching the impact of Oxytocin and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) on language, social, and play skills development in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Participation involves 16 weeks of Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) free of charge along with an intranasal spray of either oxytocin or placebo.

To be eligible, participants must be between 5 and 9 years old, have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, be able to complete study assessments including fMRI, and families must be able to commute to the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, CT. Participants will receive free Pivotal Response Treatment and up to $300 payment for participation.
