What's the study about?
The purpose of this study is to better understand the experiences of caregivers raising a child with autism spectrum disorder. Specifically, this study aims to understand the emotional and social experiences of caregivers of this population.
Who can participate?
- Parents or caregivers raising a child with autism
- The child’s diagnosis must have come from a licensed professional,
- Parents or caregivers interested in participating must reside in the United States
- The child’s diagnosis must have been obtained within the last 5 years.
What will participants be doing?
Participants will answer a set of survey questions on Qualtrics including questions about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in raising a child with autism. The surveys should take around 15 minutes to complete.
Why is this important?
This study can help researchers further understand the emotional and social experiences of parents raising a child with autism and can assist in the development of educational programs and interventions aimed at assisting parents throughout the diagnostic process.
