What are the goals of the study?
The COBRA study uses functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS), and behavioral assessments to explore neurological, hemodynamic, and electrophysiological differences between autistic and neurotypical individuals using vision as a model system.
What will happen during the visit or online?
Participants will take part in structured interviews and computer, behavioral, EEG and MRI experiments that involve visual stimuli.
How will this help families?
This study seeks to identify the specific neural circuits that are altered in autism spectrum disorder, and investigate how signaling in the brain may differ between adults with and without ASD and how these differences are associated with behavior.
