Sam’s Sibs Stick Together

Siblings are special and need a little extra support during this time. ASF is teaming up with Els for Autism to bring you a new webinar series, Sam’s Sibs Stick Together, to present findings of research that focus on siblings, and discuss resources available for siblings of all ages.

Sibling Samantha Els, will be the ambassador of this series, as through her own experiences, she can help shine a light on the importance of sibling research and support.

The next webinar will be held on September 8th at 2:00 pm EST. At this meeting, Julie Lounds Taylor from Vanderbilt and her colleagues will be discussing their research on siblings as they grow up – she has a group of families she has been studying for awhile and she knows a lot about how both individuals on the spectrum, and their family members handle adolescence and transition. She and her colleagues (Gael Orsmond, Boston University, and Meghan Burke, University of Illinois)  will also be open to answering questions and providing information about what she knows. She has spent her entire career on this topic and has a lot to share. You can read more about her here:  https://www.vumc.org/transitionslab/person/julie-lounds-taylor-phd

Registration is free, but you must register in order to attend. Register here: https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAvf-qprT4vHNNBCncd8NwlsGPce0H420s2
