Autism Society of America President Scott Badesch Joins Autism Science Foundation Board of Directors

NEW YORK, NY (September 3, 2019) – The Autism Science Foundation (ASF), a not-for- profit organization dedicated to catalyzing innovative autism research, today announced the appointment of Scott Badesch, president of the Autism Society of America, to its Board of Directors.

The announcement was made by Gregg Ireland, Chairman of the Autism Science Foundation Board of Directors. Badesch served as President of the Autism Society for over 10 years before announcing his retirement, effective January, 2020. He previously was President and CEO of the Autism Society of North Carolina, President and CEO of United Way of Palm Beach County, and CEO of the United Way of South Carolina. He has four children, including a son with autism.

“Scott is a strong and respected voice for excellence and urgency in the field of autism research”, said Singer. “We are delighted that he will bring his expertise to ASF and help us expand our research agenda.”
