We are conducting a clinical trial to learn if buspirone (anti-anxiety medication) decreases anxiety in youth with autism spectrum disorder.

Youth between the ages of 12-17, with autism, and experiencing anxiety are welcome to participate.

What will participants be doing?

This is a 16-week treatment study involving 2 in-person visits and bi-weekly remote check-ins with the study physician

Why is this important?

About 50% of autistic youth have anxiety which gets in the way of school, extracurricular, and social activities. Managing anxiety can help autistic youth and their families live happier, more fulfilling lives.
