Parents of Autistic Children’s Perspectives of Autism Interventions
What's the study about?
We are conducting an online research study gathering parents of autistic children’s perspectives on common autism interventions. We are trying to add more stakeholder and neurodivergent voices to research to inform future interventions. Have your voice heard by joining our study today!
Who can participate?
- Caregiver must be at least 18 years old
- Caregiver must be able to read and understand English
- Must have a child 4-11 years old
- Child must have a formal ASD diagnosis
What will participants be doing?
Participants will answer short questionaries about you and your child, read brief descriptions of common autism treatments and autistic behaviors, rate how acceptable each treatment seems, and share in your own words why you rated them that way.
Why is this important?
This study intends to collect neurodiverse and neurotypical parent’s perspectives on autism interventions, the first study of it’s kind. Being able to understand the acceptability of treatments for autism we can help inform more inclusive and neuroaffirming approaches for autism families, and help boost neurodivergent voices in the literature.
