Social Motivation

This study expands upon previous investigations and seeks to add additional information about the reward system in ASD. Additionally, this study will expand measures of reward anticipation and reward responses in younger children, which are not well understood.

What are the goals of the study?

Measure children’s brain activity as they are presented with images on a computer screen to understand how children are motivated and understand how anxiety relates to ASD.

What will happen during the visit or online?

Children will complete an EEG recording and complete behavioral assessments. Parents will fill out questionnaire forms.

How will this help families?

The results of this study may inform targets of intervention.

Eligibility Criteria

Children ages 3 yr, 0 mo to 11 yr, 11 mo. IQ above 70 is required.
