Autism Intervention for Emotion Regulation with Canines
What's the study about?
Our canine study is aimed to learn more about Regulating Together and canine assisted therapy for 8-15 year olds with autism spectrum disorder and emotion dysregulation.
Who can participate?
8-15 years old with ASD, IQ <70
What will participants be doing?
This study includes six separate visits that will take place over 29 weeks.
You and your child will be asked to participate in a five week intervention group.
The emotion regulation group will involve both caregivers and children.
Why is this important?
To see if having a canine present increases child engagement and learning of the emotion regulation intervention.
