The Neurodivergent Inclusion Gap. Exploring the relationship between perceived workplace inclusion, stress, and potential burnout in adults who self identify as neurodivergent.
What's the study about?
Exploring whether there is a relationship between perceived workplace inclusion, stress and potential burnout in adults who self-identify as being neurodivergent, which represents a current gap in the available research.
Who can participate?
Adults aged 18+ who self identify as neurodivergent, including:
• Autistic, ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette’s, OCD, Dyscalculia, and other forms of neurodivergence.
To meet University Category A ethics requirements, this study will not be able to include any individuals who have a formal clinical diagnosis of any neurodivergent condition or other medical diagnoses.
What will participants be doing?
A short, anonymous 10–15 minute online survey including:
• Neurodiversity Scale (DNS-32),
• Workplace Inclusion Scale (WIS),
• Perceived Stress Scale (PSS 10),
• Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT 12)
* Short demographics questionnaire
Why is this important?
Your contribution will help improve understanding of workplace inclusion and wellbeing among neurodivergent adults. It may also help to highlight how non inclusive workplace environments contribute to chronic stress and burnout, which could support future efforts to make workplaces more inclusive, accessible, and responsive to neurodivergent needs.
