Improving Autism Communication Survey
What's the study about?
We are looking to better understand how communication between autistic and nonautistic people differs, and how we can better supplement conversations between the two groups. We are also looking at the emotions and stresses that come from their communication differences.
Who can participate?
You have a self/medical diagnosis of autism
You are 18-35 years old
You can read English at a 6th grade level or higher
What will participants be doing?
The participant will take an online survey on any type of device. They will be greeted with multiple choice and short answer questions. The survey is approximately 42 questions long and is expected to take no longer than 60 minutes.
Why is this important?
This study aims to deepen our understanding of the emotional and stress-related impacts of communication between different neurotypes. By identifying these conversational differences, we hope to develop more effective strategies and technologies to address the double empathy problem. Furthermore, the insights gained from this research on assistive technologies will serve as a foundation for creating new software and programs to enhance cross-neurotype communication.
