Frontal Stimulation Effects on Language in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

What's the study about?

Researchers from the Autism Brain and Language (ABL) Lab at the University of New Orleans (UNO) are seeking participants for a study examining the effects of brain stimulation (tDCS) on language.

Who can participate?

Children, 6-10 years old with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Children should be right-handed and native English speakers.

What will participants be doing?

tDCS is a non-invasive way to stimulate brain activity. Children will be wearing 2 wet sponges on their head for 20 minutes while telling and listening to a story told from pictures. They will also do some thinking and language activities.

Why is this important?

You will be helping us learn about whether tDCS can improve language skills in children with ASD.
